When he is not shaping the minds of university students, Stephen continues to work on video and independent projects for State and local agencies and organizations as well as his own ongoing works. Stephen has a Masters Degree in Communication from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas . As a forward thinker, he wrote his Thesis on how Information Islands and e-commerce would play a major role in keeping smaller communities alive. This of course was when 28.8 dialup was king and people hadn’t even invented the word e-commerce.

    In one of your recent podcasts you made a comment about the TiVo Series 3 remote being very directional. Here’s a tip: instead of pointing the remote at the TiVo, hold it so that it points UP toward the ceiling (as if you were reading the remote. The remote actually works better this way. I find I don’t need to point it toward the TiVo or TV as long as it’s point up. I’m assuming it has to do with the way the IR window on the remote is shaped.
