Download comics legally
IGN and Top Cow Productions are now offering fans legal downloads of Top Cow’s comic book archive. Fans who have missed an older issue can download a high resolution PDF file for printing or reading on one’s computer. This is perfect for those who want to get caught up on a storyline, or who want to quickly look up an obscure reference.
While I like the concept in general, the PDF files are mired down in DRM making it very difficult to share with a friend or transfer to another computer. Plus the personal cost of printing these issues on quality paper using your precious ink can be prohibitive after a while. And let’s not forget taking a laptop into the “reading room” isn’t that convenient.
