Hooray: Roku box now streams Amazon videos in HD

Finally, that wonderful little $99 Roku Netflix box can now stream HD video from Amazon. For a while there, it was stuck with either Netflix’s paltry selection of HD video, or standard-definition from Amazon’s Video on Demand library, neither of which was particularly satisfying.

And it was just last night I was wandering around the Roku box, wishing for HD over Amazon, and what do you know, but it was just announced a few minutes ago. It’s about time.you can stream HD from Amazon now, either using the Roku box or your computer.

Soon, all TV will be streamed this way. If you’re looking for the best value in video streaming today, look no further than the Roku box.
